Step 1 of 2

What is the dental implant process like?

All implant cases begin the same way: with the initial consultation. Here, we help our patients
patients to determine whether or not dental implants are the right choice. This includes taking X-rays and 3D images to get a closer look at any remaining teeth, as well as the jawbone. Our goal with the consultation process is to EMPOWER and EDUCATE (never pressure). WE’ll also be able to answer any questions you have about financing etc. during this appointment.

If you are a candidate for implants, we can move forward with creating your new smile!

A titanium dental implant can be used to permanently replace a missing tooth. The tooth cannot be removed and you can easily floss around the tooth to keep it clean. Titanium implants can also be combined to replace multiple missing teeth. Dental implants have three parts to them:

  1. The implant: it replaces the root of the tooth and is under the gums
  2. The abutment: it is screwed into the implant like a post
  3. The crown: this is placed on the abutment and serves as the replacement tooth.

A single tooth dental implant cost $2499. This includes:

  • All necessary xrays and CT scans
  • Removal of a broken, failing or bad tooth
  • Any bone grafting that may be necessary
  • Placement of the implant
  • Permanent placement of the abutment and porcelain cosmetic crown

A single tooth implant costs $1699. This includes:

  • All necessary xrays and CT scans
  • Placement of the implant
  • Permanent placement of the abutment and porcelain cosmetic crown

We have different solutions for patients that require replacement of all teeth in the jaw. The costs to replace a full arch of teeth (upper or lower) ranges from $5,000 to $15,000 depending on the situation.

The dental implant procedure is less invasive than tooth removal. Most patients experience mild discomfort for 1-2 days that can be comfortably controlled with over-the-counter medications such as ibuprofen or Tylenol. Usually, an implant placed toward the back of the mouth is left to heal comfortably, while dental implants placed in the front or cosmetic zone have different options for temporary teeth until the implant heals. You will never be without teeth!
